Would you like to attend a Workshop about how you can help when there is so much help needed throughout the world? Would you like an opportunity for activism, to actually help and make a difference? Would you like to attend a concert? All for Free?      Did I hear you say YES?!!!  Then please join singer, songwriter, activist and author David Lamotte on February 29.  The Workshop will take place at the Presbyterian Church of Sweet Hollow (Melville) at 9:30am.  (Gathering and Fellowship at 9am); The Opportunity for Activism immediately follows as led by the Presbytery of Long Island’s Salt and Light Committee.  And to finish the day, a Concert will take place at The Community Presbyterian Church (Deer Park) at 7:30pm.  It’s all free and everyone is welcomed!  What a perfect way to end February!

      MONTH OF FEBRUARY IS SOUPER BOWL OF CARING
Sunday was our kick-off for our month-long Souper Bowl of Caring.  We are collecting canned goods, checks/cash, supermarket gift cards and diapers to be donated to the Freeport Emergency Food Pantry.  Be part of this movement that is sharing God's love with those
in need.  Please give generously throughout the month of February!
CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE
Our lessons and carols Christmas Eve candlelight service begins at
7PM Tuesday, December 24.  Come hear our handbell choir, our
singing Choir and sing many of your favorite Christmas Carols
together as we celebrate Jesus' birth!
Sunday School Christmas Play
Our Sunday School will be retelling The Christmas Story this Sunday,
December 8 at 5PM.  Our Vespers Dinner will immediately follow
the play in the Fellowship Hall.
PASTOR MOIRA ON MISSION TRIP OCT. 12-19, 2019
Our Pastor, Rev. Moira Ahearne, will be part of a mission trip to Arizona/Mexico border Oct. 12-19 organized by Frontera de Cristo located in sister cities of Agua Prieta, Sonora(Mexico) and Douglas, Arizona. By engaging in the work of Frontera de Cristo, Pastor Moira hopes to have a better understanding of the immigration crises on our southern border. She will share information with us each week, and it will be posted here on Facebook. Please keep Pastor Moira in your prayers as well as all the people involved and served by these ministries.
            BIBLE STUDY
Bible study continues this Wednesday at 12noon at CPC.  Pastor Moira will
be leading the study and teachings of Revelation.  It will continue each Wednesday at noon.

AL LEWIS INDUCTED INTO HALL OF FAME

On October 22, The Brooklyn USA Athletic Association will be inducting our own Al Lewis into their Hall of Fame.  Al was an all-star basketball player at Brooklyn"s Franklin K. Lane HS.  He went on to attend Kansas University on a basketball scholarship.  Among others being inducted are Lou Carnescca, retired St. John's University basketball coach and Dr. Solly Walker, who was the first black basketball star to play at St. John's University.  Please join us in congratulating Al Lewis on receiving this distinguished award!
