THE ECUMENICAL JOURNEY FOR 2019
Lenten Theme:  "I am the Bread of Life" John6:35
During the Wednesday nights of Lent, a different church will host a
specific Lenten journey service.  We will be celebrating Holy Communion
with our sister churches.  Each church will provide a light meal or coffee and desserts
from 6:45pm to 7:25pm with the exception of Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.  All
services will begin at 7:30pm.
Following is the schedule:
  Seaford United Methodist Church, March 6, Ash Wednesday
  CPC, Merrick, March 13
  Bellmore United Methodist Church, March 20
  Merrick United Methodist Church, March 27
  Seaford United Methodist Church, April 3
  Bellmore Presbyterian Church, April 10
  Each church will observe its own service on Maundy Thursday, April 18
  First Presbyterian Church, Freepeort, April 19 - Good Friday
Our CPC Youth Choir will be singing Sunday, Feb. 24

Join us this Sunday, February 17, as talented musician, Christopher Donohue plays violin, soprano saxophone and sings to enhance our worship service!
FEBRUARY 1-24 SUPERBOWL OF CARING!
We'll be collecting money and food items for the benefit of the
Freeport emergency food pantry in friendly competition with several other
Presbyterian churches!  Please bring your donations to the church before February 24.
We all must help change the game and tackle hunger!
AL LEWIS INDUCTED INTO HALL OF FAME

On October 22, The Brooklyn USA Athletic Association will be inducting our own Al Lewis into their Hall of Fame.  Al was an all-star basketball player at Brooklyn"s Franklin K. Lane HS.  He went on to attend Kansas University on a basketball scholarship.  Among others being inducted are Lou Carnescca, retired St. John's University basketball coach and Dr. Solly Walker, who was the first black basketball star to play at St. John's University.  Please join us in congratulating Al Lewis on receiving this distinguished award!
